Wouldn’t it be nice if life was trouble free? One thing for certain is that problems are not things which improve with time. Create a Plan B
When a problem crops up, you may feel like you have no idea how to handle it. It could well be the first time you’ve faced any real adversity and you just don’t know what to do. You need to think through alternatives and come up with a new plan. Learning to think logically in a crisis is a definite life skill. Look a few moves ahead and plan out a few different scenarios in your mind. If x happens, what will you do? How about y? Cultivate Your Emotional Resilience
We all need stores of strength, courage and self-discipline to make it through hard times and those are the qualities you should seek to develop when terrible situations occur. You need to have faith that every situation in life is temporary and that prospects will improve soon. Despair can be a downward cycle that can destroy your mental and physical health, so don’t give into it. Develop your powers of mental control by accepting that setbacks are a part of normal life, and often have far more to teach us than good fortune ever can.
When things seem pretty bad, sometimes looking to others and their struggles can be highly inspirational. Just taking a positive action to connect with others going through the same circumstances can be therapeutic.
