Have a morning and night time routine
Our body and mind likes order. We thrive on having a set routine each morning and night which allows us not to overthink things and get the brain worked up too much. In the mornings you will probably complete every task in the same order out of habit, and you should be doing the same thing at night time to prepare you for a good night’s sleep.
Make sure you dim the lights in the evening and light a few candles to help your brain switch off, then go into the bathroom and brush your teeth, wash your face and do any other tasks you need in there. Then once you enter your bedroom your phone should be switched off so that you can truly relax and get to sleep quickly.
Sometimes there is nothing better than to sit down and play a game on your console or mobile device. Playing games takes your mind off everything else and allows you to enjoy just focusing on one task.
